How To Be Saved
1. Realize you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
2. Understand that sin brings death, or separation from God.
"For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)
3. Accept the fact that Jesus Christ paid for your sins on the cross.
"But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
4. Confess your sins to God and believe that He will forgive you.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
5. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Pray a prayer like this: Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord of my life. Come into my heart and save me. Forgive me for my sins. Help me to live for You each day. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen.
If you just prayed a prayer like this from your heart, you are now a child of God. God's power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life. Do not trust your feelings . . . they will change. Stand on God's promises . . . they never change.
After you are saved, practice these things daily for spiritual growth:
1. Pray--you talk to God.
2. Read your Bible--God talks to you.
3. You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of
your salvation and unite with a Bible-believing church without delay.
